Just like owning or leasing a car, it takes maintenance and proper care to rest assured that your engine will start when needed. Grief and bereavement
is difficult, and setting up scheduled times to meet weekly will help you cope with your loss and allow time between meetings to implement the interventions and skills you will learn weekly.

When you are experiencing unresolved or complicated grief you can experience unscheduled and volatile moments of extreme sadness and hopelessness. The goal is to stay away from that dark place and use the interventions discussed in our sessions to learn to cope and accept grief into your life. One never gets rid of grief entirely but learns to move forward in a new paradigm of your "New Normal" plus grief
